Responsibility Report 2024

In this year’s report, we continue to advance our sustainability vision through our GAMEPLAN 2.0 strategy, our roadmap for 2025 and beyond. We remain dedicated to making meaningful strides across our key pillars: social impact, climate action and biodiversity, materials and innovation and circularity. We acknowledge the work still ahead of us and are proud to maintain our B Corp certification and will recertify in 2025.

A Message From GANNI

At GANNI, we’ve never claimed to be perfect, and we’re not trying to be. But we are committed to showing up, taking action, and challenging the way things have always been done. Over the past year, we’ve taken some of our biggest steps yet towards our 2025 Responsibility Strategy. That progress wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible material innovators and partners we work with every day.

One major milestone? Phasing out virgin leather. That move helped us achieve a 24% absolute reduction in carbon emissions, bringing us almost halfway to our 2027 goal of cutting emissions by 50%, using 2021 as our baseline.

Innovation remains at the heart of this journey. In 2024, we commercially launched five Fabric of the Future innovations, proving that change is possible. But we know the path forward isn’t without risk. Much of what we’re building relies on early-stage technologies, developing infrastructure, and systems still in their infancy. It’s a dynamic space, full of potential, but still fragile.

Being responsible also means looking beyond the product. Through our Living Wage Initiative, 63% of our suppliers are now paying a living wage, either through us or independently. Inside GANNI, our Carbon Squad, a team of 23 people across departments, is embedding climate action into daily decisions. Across our supply chain, this includes solar panel installations at four supplier facilities.

In 2024, we published The GANNI Playbook: How to Get Started Creating a Responsible Business, a practical guide based on what we’ve learned so far. Because for us, shared progress is the only way forward.

As we reflect on this year’s achievements, we remain clear-eyed about the challenges ahead. The fashion industry still faces major hurdles, especially around innovation. Many of the solutions we rely on are vulnerable to funding gaps, slow adoption, and systemic barriers. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we know sustained progress isn’t guaranteed.

Looking ahead, we’re focused on supporting the people and ideas reimagining fashion’s future, while staying honest about the realities of scaling truly responsible solutions. There’s no perfect roadmap, but we’re here to do the work, one bold step at a time.

Looking To The Future

At GANNI, we’re optimistic about the progress we’ve made toward our 2025 strategy and the tangible impact we’ve seen in sustainability. However, we recognise that the scale of change needed in the fashion industry can’t be achieved by one brand alone. The challenges are significant, and we cannot solve them in isolation. Achieving real, lasting impact will require industry-wide collaboration, particularly in aligning sustainability priorities and accelerating innovation. We are fully committed to doing our part, but the path forward demands collective action. Now is the time to step up, collaborate, and drive the change the industry urgently needs.
